Today is the First Sunday in Advent. During the four weeks of advent the weekly readings always begin with: "stir up". A dear friend of mine, a pastor, always called this stir up month.
I don't know about you, but when I think that Christmas is only 23 days away, I get pretty stirred up, but I know that's not how it was meant.
Copied WITHOUT PERMISSION from our former church, Our Saviour Lutheran in Richmond. (Thanks Carolyn!)
